I'm back!

I got back from California yesterday. It was a fun vacation. Congratulations to Amy M. and Allen L. for doing so well at the Freedom 5k. They both ran their fastest 5k of the summer and Allen ran a PR 5k. Chris Pine was 4th overall and won his age group. Allen was second in his age group. For complete results click here.

We will meet at Sugar Lakes park this week. I will make the shirt order Monday afternoon, so if you have not paid for a shirt and want one Monday is the last day (they cost $10). We will also have sign up for the Bastrop Leadership Camp all this week. The cost for that is $50 and it covers camp entry and food. We could possibly make a camp shirt also if there is enough money left. We will discuss arrangements for transportation this week also. Please notify your parents. I will make a form letter for them. The camp dates will be July 20-22. We will leave on a Wednesday morning early and return Friday in the afternoon.

The Carol Williams 5k and Kids' One Mile is scheduled for Saturday, October 29th this year and there will be a costume contest. Online registration is now available at signmeupsports.com. Our goal is to get at least 20 sponsors this year. If you know of a person or company who would be interested in donating to us have them email or call me.
