Spring Relays springs the varstiy boys into action

SPRING, TX - Saturday was a day of beginnings. The varsity boys track team competed in their first meet and a lot of athletes competed in events for the first time. The day started at the long jump, where sophomore Bayo Adeyeba jumped 18-2 to set his season best, but he knows he can go further, as he did last year. The 3200m was the first running event with three cougars contesting. Chris Pine led the way with a PR of 10:24 which placed him 6th overall. Sophomores Allen Livingston and Bernardo Palomera also ran setting presonal records because it was their first time to compete in the event. The boys 4x100m relay slipped just under 44 seconds to set a tone for the season.

More to come later...
