La Porte Results

La Porte (Aug. 29) - It was a successful first outing for new coach Toby Villa and the Cougars squad. The team gave it their all in spite of near 100-degree temperatures, and will only improve as the season progresses. The varsity boys were led by junior David Koistinen with an outstanding 16:41 for the 3-mile race and placing in the top 10. The varsity girls were led by senior Katherine Toy with a top 20 finishing time of 13:58 in the 2-mile race. There are also a number of newcomers this year including standout freshmen Travis Bogdan and Jaclyn Amadio. The Coogs will be headed to Richmond next week for the Lamar Consolidated meet.
