Coogs Clean Up At Sweeny

CAMP KARANKAWA - The varsity boys started the day by sweeping the top 3 spots for the 3 mile course. Led by Shalin Dalal, Errol Hampton and Matt Cortez, the boys won the team title over Angleton and Yoakum.

The girls race ended up very similarly with Hiba Kreidie leading the team with a 3rd place overall finish. Zelda Abadom was 4th, Katherine Toy was 6th and Briana Gifford was 7th. For the first time this year senior Lisette Bogdan ran as our number 5 and was 10th overall. The total pack time between our number 1 and 5 runners was only 36 seconds. The girls team won the meet over Needville and Yoakum.

The JV boys also pulled out a victory led by sophomore Abel Simie's individual win. The girls JV race went very well also as the team was led by Macy Ramos and Stevi Higgins. All the girls medaled and finished in the top 25. Sahar Halim ran as the team's number 4 and was in 7th place with a mile to run. Sahar finished 12th and earned Athlete of the Week Honors for her amazing effort.
