Girls open the season at Katy ISD Relays

Senior Veronica Rodriguez paced the girls team at their first competition of the season. Rodriguez cleared 8 feet in the pole vault and 5 feet in the high jump for a 3rd place finish. She also competed on the Sprint Medley Relay, the 4x800m Relay, and the 4x400m Relay.

On the boys side senior Chris Pine ran three events and set personal records in all three. He led the Distance Medley Relay to a third place finish, running the opening 1200m leg in 3:23. He went on to run second leg on the 4x800m Relay which placed fifth, then he set a personal record in the 1600m with a 4:46.
