Meeting next week...

We will meet for Week 3 (already!) at Sugar Lakes Park. The small park is located at the corner of US90 and Main/Sugar Lakes Dr. It is next to the Shell station on Sugar Lakes.

The 5k threshold run went well this morning. Amy Machemehl performed well to lead all the girls. She was followed closely by Alycia Curtis from Clements and V-Rod, both were within only 13 seconds off A-Mach. Eric Sheppard and Chris Pine also had good runs this morning. Sophomore-to-be Juan Trujillo really had a great day running as the number three man for all returners. Overall, everyone set a good mark to improve on over the summer. We will run our next 5k AT run in two weeks over the same course. I think we will see major improvements the next time around.

Bernardo's Beach Day

On SUNDAY, JUNE 26th we will travel to Surfside Beach at 6:30am and run. We will then stay a while and cook up some hot dogs. We need team members to bring supplies (food, plates, etc.) Parents are strongly urged to attend. The more the marrier. Bring your friends...they will have to run though. We need to get people who have cars to come so we can carry everyone. Keep this on your calendar, it is only two and a half weeks away.

The Camp Out at Bastrop, Texas is still scheduled for July 17-20. We will leave on Sunday around 1:30pm to get to Bastrop to setup and we will leave Bastrop around 9am on Wednesday, July 20th. I am considering moving the date up one week for A-liv... Please let me know if you plan to attend and which week would be better for you.
