Boys Track at Lamar, Girls at Pearland

The cougs compete today at Traylor Stadium in Rosenberg and the lady cougs are at "The Rig" in Pearland. Boys start field events at 1:30pm and the 3200m final starts at 2:30pm. Prelims will follow the 3200m run and the finals are scheduled for 5pm this evening. The stadium is at 4606 Mustang Avenue. For directions click here for Mapquest map.

Summer Camp Info

The Bastrop Summer Camp will take place the first week of summer break from June 9-13. Because it is a Paavo Camp and five days long the cost has increased. To reserve a spot you must pay the $95 deposit. Those of you who pay the deposit will get the benefit of a fundraiser project in May to cover the remainder of the costs. KXC Annual Banquet

KEMPNER (Mar. 3) - It was an emotional evening as Coach Dye, parents, friends, and supporters recognized the departing seniors. Each senior who attended gave a brief speech about their favorite quote, how running has influenced their lives, and what they would do over. The common theme was that the discipline and perseverance from being a part of KXC has provided each team member the foundation from which to approach everything in life.

Awards were handed out to subvarsity and freshmen runners. Special recognition awards were also given out as follows:

Most Improved - Gina Keidel, Matt Cortez
Newcomer of the Year - Hiba Kreidie, Abel Simie
Cougar Heart - Lisette Bogdan, Shanup Dalal
Most Valuable Runner - Katherine Toy, Zelda Abadom, Shalin Dalal

Pictures from the entire 2007 cross country season are available on a DVD produced by Bob Koistinen. Please contact Coach Dye if you're interested in purchasing one. Half of the proceeds benefit the cross country program.
