Sprint Medley gets national mark, misses school record

LEAGUE CITY - The Sprint Medley Relay (200-200-400-800) team of Matt Davis, Darius Wilson, TJ Theus and Eric Sheppard were finally victorious at the Clear Creek Relays on Friday. They got just under the Nike Outdoor Nationals qualifying mark of 3:35, but missed the school record of 3:34.3. Their winning time was 3:34.91 with a 49.0 leg from Theus and a 1:58.3 from Sheppard. The Cougars were also able to get two silver medals in the 4x800m (8:32.80) run with Sophomores Allen Livingston and Evan Wilson and seniors Chris Pine and Eric Sheppard. The team of Pine, Livingston, Theus and Sheppard also finished 2nd in the Distance Medley Relay (1200-400-800-1600) with a 10:54.23 their best mark this year. For results click here.
