Sheppard and Westlake set new PRs

PEARLAND - At the regional qualifiers meet, senior Eric Sheppard finished 3rd in the 800 meters with a new PR of 1:56.3 and sophomore Elizabeth Westlake lowered her school record slightly with a 5:26.2 for 1600m. Sheppard and Westlake both finished third in those events. Sheppard later came back to run 4:28 to finish second to Jeremy Ellis of Friendswood in the boys 1600m.
