Stafford Invitational

STAFFORD - The cougars ran a limited squad this week due to most of the team taking the PSAT but there were some notable performances. The varsity boys were the only team that fielded a full team. Freshman Chris Ysais stepped up to varsity and ran as the number three man. Sophomore Errol Hampton led the varsity squad and picked up the 13th place medal by running a personal best for 3 miles of 18:00. In the varsity girls race junior Elizabeth Westlake led the Cougars with a 7th place finish and senior Amy Machemehl brought home the 10th pace medal. Freshman Patrick Willis moved up to the junior varsity level and finished as the number 2 runner for the cougars behind sophomore Chris Willey. It was a good meet for us and we will probably run there next year.

Carol Williams 5K canceled

Due to a lack of registrants and a good fund rasing effort through cookie dough sales the Carol Williams 5k has been canceled the year. We raised more money with cookie dough sales than we have with the race. It has not been decided whether or not the race will resume next year or not.
