FloTrackr

FloTrackr is new software for logging all your running and communicating with the coach. Kempner Track is the first high school to use this software thanks to the creator Mark Floreani who is good friends with Kempner state 3200m champ, John Rainbolt. Top universities all over the country are using it and high schools will be using it soon. We have 28 runners using it so far! If you have not received an email invitation to join the Kempner FloTrackr email Coach Dye and it will be sent to you. Check it out for your self by clicking here.

Track Season Underway

HOUSTON-Members of the Kempner Boys' Track team competed at the Carl Lewis Indoor Invitational on Saturday. The team is physically ahead of where they were at this time last year. The distance medley relay of Allen Livingston (1200), Andrew Rodriguez (400), Patrick Mirani (800) and Errol Hampton (1600) were 30 seconds faster than they ran at the Woodlands near the end of February in 2006. Junior Corey Atkins stumbled on the 1st two hurdles on the 60m Hurdles and was still aboe to finish strong. He may have made the final if he was on at the first hurdle. The 4x200m Relay led off and finish with 23-point splits for David Lynch and Evan Smith. Errol Hampton showed that he was on PR pace for 3200m by placing 11th overall in the 3000m with a time of 10:03.

Overall the meeet was a success but the Cougars know they have a lot of work to do to achieve their goals this season.
